All students study Music from Reception until Year 8. It then becomes an elective subject. There are choirs at each year level in the Junior School. In Year 2, students learn a stringed instrument and experience playing in a string orchestra, while Year 4 students learn a brass or woodwind instrument and gain experience playing in a band. Private tuition is available for a wide range of instruments from a team of visiting instrumental teachers. Students, once proficient, are encouraged to take part in the ensemble program. Our ensembles regularly perform and some participate in competitions and festivals.
