All students study Art from Reception until Year 8, after which it becomes an elective subject.
Our program incorporates the traditional aspects of Art as well as the newer technologies. These include painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, digital imaging, Art analysis and appreciation. We supplement the practical experience of Art with visits to artists' studios and public and private galleries where students can observe other artists and learn from their techniques. We also have excellent visual resources including the Wilderness Art Collection.
Our art related activities include:
- Exhibitions of students' work
- Artist-in-Residence program
- Annual Art Forum
- Exhibitions by other artists
- Specialist workshops
Participation in community art events such as South Australian Living Artists Week, Come Out, SACE Art Show, Adelaide Festival and Fringe events.
